Candia Dems

Well, it was certainly a wet weekend, and fair attendance was understandably down.

But the Democratic booth at the fair was well attended and well received by the public. Many buttons, bumper stickers and pins were distributed, and a few people even had their pictures taken with Obama ... well, with his life-size cardboard surrogate, that is.

Voters got the chance to meet Candia's own Bob Bruce, Susi Nord, Dick Snow and Tom St.Martin, each of whom spent several hours meeting and talking with folks from all over New England of all ages.

Additionally, candidates Maureen Mann and Gile Beye took turns in the booth. A bunch of non-candidate volunteers from as far away as Portsmouth came to help too!

A cooperative effort organized by the four towns of Rockingham District 1, there were always a couple of us on hand to chat with voters.
